Miko Goodnough is a Japanese-American artist who creates abstract figurative collages on canvas. These collage paintings use organic materials, including paper, fabric and ink as well as paint, to suggest the spiritual and mystical. Goodnough came to the United States to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, and later at SUNY Purchase where she graduated with a BFA, Cum Laude. She continued on at New York University where she received an MFA. Her work was shown at the Katonah Museum where she was selected for ''All of a Piece'' juried by Robert Storr, curator at the Museum of Modern Art, NY. Miko has shown in galleries in New York City and all around the country, including a two person show at the Hammond Museum, NY. |
